Anne Jonsson (b.1978) is a Swedish born mime actress and movement teacher working in London. Anne is a co-founder of Theatre in Translation. She graduated with a post graduate in teaching and directing, after four years at Ecole De Mime Corporeal Dramatique in London. During her studies, Anne was supported by the Helge Ax:son Johnsons Foundation, Sweden, to continue her research.
Before moving to London, Anne studied physical theatre and Grotowski technique at Teaterstudion in Stockholm, Literature & Drama at Södertörn University and Theatre Foundation at Folk-University, Stockholm, Sweden. She has a strong interest in movement based performance which is the core that strongly influences all her work.As well as working on Five Years of Happiness and Contagion/Smitta with Theatre in Translation, Anne is collaborating with They Are Here on the two year long project The Twins at Battersea Arts Centre, London. The Twins is a cross-disciplinary collaboration between artists from different art forms with its recent performance at Burst Injured Party at the BAC and its next stage of development will be supported by London International Festival of Theatre. |

Jodee Mundy is an Australian actress, theatre maker & director specialising in physical theatre, text and signed languages.She is one of the co-founders of Theatre in Translation. Based in London since 2002, she trained at Ecole De Mime Corporal Dramatique in London for four years with the initial support from the Australia Council and the Ian Potter Foundation. Prior to this, she trained at the Victorian College of the Arts graduating with a Post Graduate in Animateuring in 1999. Project Highlights include: 'Happy 1000.1000 Bahagia,' directed by Sandra Long, which has performed in Melbourne Australia, Java Indonesia and was featured as part of the LIFT enquiry at the OXO Tower, London. This was awarded Melbourne Fringe Award for Innovation of Form and was nominated for a Green Room Award in 2000. 'Vietnam: A Psychic Guide' by Chi Vu, directed by Sandra Long at North Melbourne Arts House, 'Blood Makes Noise'- a Next Wave Kick Start project presented at the Deaf Way II festival in Washington and a video performance featured in 'A Forest' with the Pacitti Company which toured in the UK. In 2006, she was movement consultant for 'Dysfunction' directed by Steven Webb (Deafinitely Theatre) presented at the Soho Theatre.
She is also Associate Director of Young D Roots who will doing a development of their next show in December supported by Arts Council England and the Oval Theatre.
Her next individual directing project will be, 'The Wind in B Minor', a piece featuring Australian, Japanese and Indonesian artists and this has been commissioned by the Hothouse Residency to be developed in Victoria, Australia in October 2007. TV acting credits include: Holby City; BBC 1 & BBC 2. She is also a qualified British Sign Language Interpreter- specialising in interpreting west end and fringe theatre and also in the media. |
